Job Summary

The Commercial Account Executive position is a client-facing, highly visible role in the agency. The purpose of the position is to provide professional, first class service and high-level insurance and risk management expertise to existing clients and prospects. The ultimate goal is to assist Producers in retaining current clients, and to aggressively grow the agency by providing the support and strong technical skills necessary to write large new commercial business.

This will be accomplished through exposure identification, risk analysis, risk management services, and insurance placement for prospects and clients while working collaboratively with and making recommendations to the Producer.

The Commercial Account Executive will also build strong relationships with clients and insurance carriers, and will work closely with O’Neill Insurance Commercial Account Managers and Assistants.

Primary Job Duties:

Commercial Account Executive Expectations:

  • Possess a full understanding of insurance coverage forms, including each carrier’s forms and the differences between them, enhancement forms, etc.
  • Conduct coverage analysis and understand scope of client’s business during new sales phase.
  • Support the producers and maintain high client retention by building and managing client relationships, and cross-selling.
  • Consistently increase knowledge by researching and evaluating modem trends in products, staying up-to-date on all current topics in the insurance and risk management marketplace.
  • Obtain or possess the Certified Risk Architect (CRA), Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) or equivalent designation.
  • Work in an environment with a strong focus on team servicing and team selling.
  • Implement Beyond Insurance Global Network tools including all IRQM’s that are available in order to improve client risk profiles.

Major Responsibilities

  • Accompany Producers on first appointments for new prospects.
  • Implement all phases of the RiskConnect Audits in collaboration with the Producers, from exposure identification to placement of insurance.
  • Assist Producers in retaining current business through assessment of current coverage, risk management issues, and current competitive markets available. Accompany Producers to client meetings as requested.
  • Manage the overall insurance programs for select O’Neill Insurance clients
  • Inform clients about policy coverage, changes, exclusions and insurance needs.
  • Conduct account reviews, analyses, and audits for designated accounts.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Must hold active Property & Casualty license for Ohio.
